Meet the GemSeal Leadership Team:
Lee has 40 years of experience working in various capacities from laborer, contractor, Certified Tennis Court Builder, and sales executive to senior management. Prior to joining GemSeal, Lee served as vice president and co-owner of Surface Coatings Co., which GemSeal acquired in 2012. His vast experience in the pavement maintenance industry is difficult to match. Lee is currently responsible for developing our product line and catalog, establishing storefronts and showrooms, coordinating trade shows, and managing national accounts. Lee frequently speaks at the National Pavement Expo and other national trade shows.
Barry has over 28 years of experience as a finance and accounting professional with accomplishments in financial leadership, improving business operations and results, streamlining business processes, and building and developing finance teams. Barry is a business partner to the leadership team and takes an active role in setting strategic direction and implementing operational plans. He has experience in a variety of industries with heavy focus on manufacturing and distribution. He has held financial leadership positions with companies ranging from large global companies with operations in Asia and Europe to small, fast-growing, family-owned businesses. Barry is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA from the University of South Carolina.
Chris launched his career with GemSeal over 25 years ago and continues to demonstrate a passion for pavement preservation. He now directs and coordinates operations for the Tampa plant and oversees sales for the Florida market. Through the years, Chris has worn many hats including lab technician, mill operator, and construction manager. His manufacturing background and education in Finance and Real Estate helped him build and start-up our state-of-the-art plant in Tampa.
Ken has over 25 years of sales and management experience in the pavement maintenance industry. He is responsible for vendor relations, seeking out new business opportunities, and training the sales force on equipment and products. Prior to joining GemSeal, Ken specialized in implementing pavement maintenance solutions for governmental and large-contractor accounts along with selling bulk sealer to customers in the Great Plains and South-Central U.S.
Glenn has over 20 years of experience in sales management and building professional sales teams. He has vast experience in asphalt manufacturing and, in particular, cold mix asphalts. In 2013, Glenn joined GemSeal and became the General Manager of the Northeast overseeing sales, marketing, and operations. In 2017, he joined a large pavement contractor as their VP of sales and was promoted to COO one year later. Glenn rejoined the GemSeal team in November 2019 and believes we have the most professional sales team in the industry. He lives in Brookfield, CT, with his wife and two children.
Jeff has over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, and sales management. He is highly accomplished in building sales teams and developing effective sales strategies. Along with parking lot maintenance products, Jeff has expertise in DOT roadway markings and signage as well as ADA solutions. He firmly believes that if you honestly help customers grow their businesses, your business will also grow. Prior to serving in the pavement and roadway maintenance industry, Jeff was a successful entrepreneur with business locations in Detroit and New York.
Will has a strong background in adhesives/sealants and polyurethane manufacturing. Prior to GemSeal, he worked in supply chain and quality management as well as third-party freight, maintenance tracking, and environmental regulations. Will holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Clemson.
Sherry has a deep understanding and experience of asphalt/bitumen products, oil refining, and crack sealing. Prior to GemSeal, she worked as Sr. Product Application Specialist and also as Specialties Technical Sales Manager for Royal Dutch Shell, Inc.-Shell Bitumen-U.S. Sherry has helped develop products including a cold-applied crack sealant as well as co-authored two patents. Her vast skillset includes new product development, cost reduction, and raw material optimization. Currently, Sherry leverages her expertise, along with her education in organic, analytical, and applied chemistry, to reseach and develop the best-performing pavement products in the industry.
Paul has served the adhesive and sealant industry for over 16 years in various capacities including R&D, technical service and process engineering. In his current role managing quality and product development, Paul leverages his prior experience, along with his education in Business Management and Science, to ensure exacting quality control across all plants and lead the innovation process within GemSeal.
A native of Pennsylvania, Roy has over 25 years of accounting experience with more than 14 years directly involved in the pavement maintenance business.
His background in operations and manufacturing companies, combined with his education in Accounting and Science, provides a unique skill set to support the rest of the GemSeal team.
